1997 Season

· We never finished higher than 5th in any invitational at the frosh-soph level.

· 24 men started the season with 23 men receiving awards at end of the season.

· Our top seven was the same as the year before (with the exception of the addition of Matt Bailey).

· 9 men ran during the summer of ‘97

· Practice was held four times a week during the summer

· No runner ran over 400 miles for the summer

· We finished 3rd at the frosh-soph level at the conference meet - did not enter a varsity team

· We finished 44th at the Crete Monee Invitational

· Did not win a team award (trophy, plaque) of any kind

· Placed 6th at the Lockport Regional, over 90 points out of 5th.

· A volunteer assistant coach.

· One runner broke 17:00 for three miles - Chris Zachara (16:50).

· One runner broke 18:00 for three miles - Chris Zachara (16:50).

· Four runners broke 19:00 minutes for three miles (Chris Zachara, Kevin Beirne, Jeff Goode, Dennis Budnik)
