2006 NCAA meet  Footage of the 2006 NCAA meet in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Read this article!  Be sure to let me know what you got from it.  The first three guys to provide me feedback get a prize!

If you want to calculate splits or see how your time compares to other events, check out this site:  http://www.cs.uml.edu/~phoffman/ex1old.html  Type in the distance and time and hit ‘Submit Data’.  Scroll down and look at the performance ratings.  For comparisons, the Purdy (best) column is most accurate.  However, I have found the 5k (or the conversion to 3 miles) to track distances and vice versa to be inaccurate.

Do you want to know how far you ran?  Go to http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/ and use this site to plan routes and determine how far you ran.   You can even save the routes as a file to access later.  Click on ‘Usage Instructions’ on how to use the site and have fun!

My all time favorite site for high school distance running – www.dyestat.com

I recommend not posting on the site until you have run for a couple of years.  No one from NV should get on this message board and talk about us.  Also, be weary of what is posted.  I have seen many times posted that are not true and exaggerated.  Also, do not get caught up in the hype surrounding early season meets and the predictions that are made.

A great site to obtain general running knowledge is www.letsrun.com   Many opinions are thrown out there on how to train, but if you can pick up bits and pieces that share common ground, it is worth it.

Some great video clips of the greatest distance races of all time.  http://www.racingsnailclub.com/video/
